Industry Consultation / Program Advisory Committee Members
This program was developed in close consultation and partnership with industry, namely the Portland Hotel Society (PHS) Community Services and the Lookout Emergency Aid Society.
To inform the curriculum development process, a number of meetings were held initially between Stenberg College's Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Les Merson. Les Merson is also the Director and Co-Producer a documentary series (for television distribution) chronicling the lives of nine aboriginal women in the downtown eastside http://www.streetsisters.ca/ . Les previously directed and produced the award-winning documentary film Something To Eat, A Place To Sleep & Someone Who Gives A Damn.

Willie is a Residential School Survivor who was the named plaintiff in the national precedent setting Court case, "Blackwater et. al. vs. Her Majesty The Queen, The United Church of Canada, Arthur Henry Plint, John Andrews & John Caldwell which resulted in the residential school healing fund of $2.9 billion.
