Seniors in British Columbia’s largest health authority will benefit from increases in direct care due to additional funding for most publicly-funded residential care providers. Fraser Health will invest approximately $12 million in additional funding this year for 43 facilities in communities across Fraser Health. This investment will increase to $20 million next year. The $35 million redevelopment of Fraser Health’s Chilliwack General Hospital reached a major milestone today with the opening of the new Emergency Room and Laboratory.
