Student of the Year (SOTY)
Stenberg College presents the Student of the Year award each year to a deserving student that exemplifies excellence in academics, leadership, attitude, community service and spirit. The winner of the award receives a FULL tuition reimbursement (up to $20,000). There are also runner-up prizes for finalists as well. Students are nominated by instructors and staff based on the following criteria:
- Excellence – as a student, a professional, and a person
- Leadership and Responsibility
- Positive, Caring & Proactive Attitude
- Community Service & Volunteerism (both within and outside the classroom)
- Campus Spirit
Awards are given out in September of each year. Students graduating from any Stenberg College Program, Classroom or Online, are eligible.
We Are proud to announce the Karen O’Shaughnessy Full Tuition Scholarship for our Community Mental Health and Addictions Program.
Stenberg College offers Program-specific bursaries based on certain eligibility qualifications. Please contact a Program Advisor for more information or about your eligibility. Bursaries and offers cannot be combined.

$1000 Bursary for Hospital or Health Care Employees
Eligibility: Applicants from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick).
Cardiology Technologist – Prince Edward Island
$5000 Bursary for any PEI Resident
Eligibility: Applicants from Prince Edward Island. (Limited to 2 students).
Early Childhood Education
$1000 Wind & Tide Preschools – Responsible Adult Bursary
Eligibility: Graduates of the Responsible Adult course.
$500 Wind & Tide Preschools – Member Families Bursary
Eligibility: Families of children attending Wind & Tide Preschools.
Medical Laboratory Assistant – Combined Delivery, BC
$2000 LifeLabs Bursary
Eligibility: All applicants for the Medical Laboratory Assistant Combined Delivery program.
Special Education Assistant – Combined Delivery, BC
$500 Catholic School Bursary
Eligibility: Those interested in working in Lower Mainland Catholic Schools.
