Valentine’s Day came early on Campus as students and staff took the time to celebrate love on Thursday February 12th, 2015.
During the week of February 2nd – 6th students and staff had the opportunity to purchase Candygrams for each other, with all proceeds being donated to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation & Canuck Place. 240 Candygrams were purchased which means a great donation! Way to go!
Throughout the day, the Student Services and the Marketing departments went to each class to deliver Candygrams that had been purchased. Students also received a Candygram from Stenberg College. Shout out to the CMHAW 0414 class who showed the most love and purchased an outstanding number of Candygrams for each other!
Students both on Campus and Distance (online students) were asked to answer the question “Who is your Sweetheart?” for a chance to win a Date Night prize. Congratulations to distance winners: Amanpreet K, Jillian S, Andrea G, Sasha Y, and Kari C who each won a $100 Visa gift card. Congratulations to campus winners: Elyse L, Hannah K, Shana D, and Sharon B, who each won a box of chocolates, 2 movie passes and $100 restaurant gift card.
The Valentine’s Eve Eve celebration also included coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, cookies and brownies for the students to munch during their breaks. The day was a success – it truly was sweet!
