Hello – I’m Aria!
I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and moved to beautiful British Columbia in 2000, the second best thing that has happened to me! Of course the first being that I am engaged to my high school sweetheart, Tony!
I come from a big Afghan family where we all support each other in times of need. This has really taught me how important it is to help others, and in doing so I feel fulfilled knowing that I can bring a smile upon that persons face.
A purpose in this life
One thing that hasn’t changed about me is that I can’t ever stop smiling. This sometimes gives people the wrong impression, especially men in public transit! Haha. But I cannot help smiling even when I’m in my worst condition. I’m hoping to one day change the lives of others as much as I can through my support.
Just like everyone, I have a purpose in this life, and that is to stand up for what is right and to help and empower people; especially children as they are our bright future. I can achieve this dream through continuing my education until my thirst for knowledge is quenched so that one day I might pass down that knowledge to someone else, perhaps my future students.
Nevertheless, the online studying at Stenberg College has already opened many doors for me, and I cannot wait to share this journey with everyone.
