We are currently seeking a Curriculum Developer to join our growing team. This individual oversees the development, revision, and implementation of curriculum relevant to a specified portfolio of programs and acts as an advisor to content experts and college staff and faculty.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Curriculum Coordinator, updating, modifying, and maintaining existing in-class, online, and simulation-based programs, courses, and activities
  • Ensuring all curriculum development meets the quality and educational standards as defined by Stenberg College and other regulatory bodies
  • Developing and maintaining courses for in-class and online delivery according to instructional design best practices
  • Researching and evaluating curriculum materials, supplies, and equipment for acquisition
  • Researching new educational tools for instructional delivery for both in-class and online programs
  • Working with subject matter experts to identify and develop relevant course materials
  • Managing external development contracts and tracking budgets for new development
  • Orienting faculty to program and course content
  • Working as an advisor to other areas of the college in regards to curriculum-related questions – e.g. scheduling, prior learning assessments etc.
  • Completing minor PTIB or regulatory change reports as required
  • Attending conferences or regulatory meetings as a college representative – travel may be required
  • Coordinating, chairing, and/or presenting at curriculum working group meetings, annual end of program reviews, Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, and faculty meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience or training
  • Adult Education Credential / Online Learning Certification / Project Management credential
  • Demonstrated experience in developing classroom-based or online curriculum rooted in adult learning best practices, including the development and alignment of learning objectives with assessments
  • Teaching or training experience with adult learners, ideally with some experience in an E-learning delivery environment
  • Experience with learning management systems and E-learning development tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, and Captivate

Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Minimum typing speed of 45wpm
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work productively with a broad stakeholder group

We currently have immediate openings for Online Instructors within our Dispensing Optician program! This program ensures that students gain a comprehensive education in the areas of eyeglass dispensing, contact lens fitting and automated refraction. Emphasis is placed on interpersonal communication, customer service and professional practice. This program prepares students to successfully complete the national licensing exam.

The successful candidate will be a Licensed Optician who is registered with their Provincial Regulatory Body. He or she must have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field. Superior communication and problem solving skills, computer literacy, and a proven ability to plan and organize tasks is a must. Previous online instructing experience would be an asset.

Stenberg College provides a full curriculum for each course. A thorough orientation and training to teaching online is provided through completion of Stenberg College’s Online Instructor Development Course. Ongoing support is provided to both faculty and students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide specific details on programs, college services, industry needs, and employment opportunities to prospective students;
  • Assist with various marketing initiatives and events to promote the college brand;
  • Inform students of program requirements, sources of financing, as well as college policies and procedures;
  • Tracks and monitor student inquiries, follow-ups, and enrollment numbers;
  • Build and maintain complete student files (in regards to registration, financing, and alternative documentation);
  • Stay up to date on program details, industry trends, and the job market.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the areas of coaching, counselling, career planning, or sales
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Communications, or a related discipline would be preferred
  • Background in higher education is a huge asset

Instructors are responsible for delivering the core content of the program. We provide the curriculum. You bring it to life using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods.

A thorough orientation to the college and curriculum would take place prior to stepping into your role. Ongoing support is provided to both faculty and students.

Qualifications required:
  • Bachelor of Education/Special Education Assistant Diploma
  • A minimum of 5 years current and relevant experience as a Support/Learning Assistance Teacher or District Integration Teacher or ABA Support Worker

Classroom delivery is 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at our campus in Surrey.

The Webmaster is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of website and ensures that the website is functioning properly and be able to improve the performance or update the content of the website upon requests. The Webmaster will oversee and implementation of the emails in marketing automation flows. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Stenberg products and marketing goals as well as proficiency in web development. Familiarity with a wide range of field practices, best practices, concepts, and procedures is also essential.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manages, develops and upgrades existing websites, blogs, microsites, and landing pages
  • Knowledge and experience with online advertising including banner ads and social media platforms
  • Designs and develops new websites and/or web assets to support new and ongoing marketing projects
  • Maintains marketing automation system and integrates and optimizes with CRM
  • Works with web stakeholders and understands their requirements in order to design and develop the website with optimal web presence, and formulates necessary and effective procedures for content updates
  • Monitors the website functionality and performance on a daily basis, and ensures performance is fast with low-latency user experience that is very durable during high traffic loads
  • Identifies any web issues and facilitates resolution by working with the appropriate web stakeholders. Recommends and implements improvements and tests them to ensure they are viable across various browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
  • Provides training and support to department members when required
  • Performs other website related duties as required
  • Owning and maintaining analytics, metrics, and performance reporting
  • Creating analytical reports to support marketing initiatives
  • Presenting recommendations to Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager

Qualifications:

  • Holds a degree or diploma in a related field
  • Intermediate to advanced skill set in MS Office and alternative media platforms
